Semi-Senior Accountant

Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to further advance their knowledge, experience and skillset. As a Semi Senior Accountant you will have worked previously within an accountancy firm and hold a suitable qualification such as AAT Level 4 (or be qualified by experience). The candidate for this role will able to work towards the completion of an ACCA qualification, if so desired.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be proactive and efficient in the organisation and management of own work whilst ensuring that deadlines and expectations are met.

  • Assist colleagues with the preparation of accounts, the associated letters and emails for clients.

  • Work as a ‘buddy’ to Assistant Accountant, ensuring the required support and delegation are provided.

  • Work proactively to develop professional relationships with portfolio clients whilst displaying a commitment and understanding of their needs.

  • Proactively take responsibility for managing own workload, ensuring that all relevant deadlines and requirements are met whilst ensuring that all administrative matters for clients are dealt with and updated appropriately.

  • Complete accounts for various industries including agriculture, traders, limited companies.

  • Support with the engagement of audit field work.

  • Maintain a portfolio of MTD/VAT clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have worked in an accountancy practice for at least 2 years.

  • AAT qualified (or qualified by experience).

  • Good knowledge on accounts preparation and personal taxation.

  • Cloud accounting experience.
