Senior Accountant

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team at LHP Accountants. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting our clients with tailored financial services.

Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to excellence and innovation.

This is a permanent role based in our Carmarthen office, contracted to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.

  • Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage for financial management.

  • Provide mentoring and support to junior staff members as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

  • Assist clients with tailored financial advice and services.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes and practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
